Have A Blast With COVERGIRL Blast Flipsticks!

#I was super excited to get in on BzzAgent's COVERGIRL Blastflipstick campaign since I am a true makeup fanatic!

According to the COVERGIRL website ( http://www.covergirl.com/blastflipstick ), this is their description,  "2 lipsticks in 1 BlastFlipstick! Flip your look from day to night, soft to bright, with BlastFlipstick's double-ended lipstick duos. With a creamy shade on one side and a shimmer shade on the other, it's two wearable, blendable, lipcolors in one!.".

They have 13 shades to choose from and I received 3 to try in my kit. They were #820 Vixen, #840 Stunner and # 855 Minx.

I had a fun time playing around with all the colors but I think my favorite for everyday was Vixen. It is a darker pink shade with a pretty rosy shimmery pink on the other end. I loved how I could wear the colors separate for one look or combine the two for a totally different but equally great look!

The second was Stunner, which is a deep corally pink on one end and an orange look on the other. I really liked to use this color when I needed a nice pop of lip color. Stunner fit the bill. I didn't really use the orangie color to often during the day but looked great at night for a nice added shimmer.

My last color to try was Minx. Minx is a dark, rich satin brown on one end and a copper color on the other.  I am not so sure that it was really my color but it was fun to try. I used this color when I was feeling mysterious! LOL!

The colors from top Minx, Vixen and Stunner

The fun part of trying COVERGIRL Blastflipsticks were the fun shades and the customizable experience. With 13 customizable shades, I know you will find one just right  for you!
You can find COVERGIRL Blastflipsticks at most major retailers such as Walmart, Target, CVS.

A Little Makeover Never Hurt Anyone! The New Influenster!

So, by now you have seen some of my reviews of products I have received for free to try from Influenster. They have also gone through a major makeover! It is now invite only but you only have to sign up and you will get in. But what IS Influenster you ask?

According to their website:

Influenster [in-floo-uhn-ster]

noun
An exclusive online community where tastemakers and trendsetters (such as yourself) come to share the latest and greatest news, places, products, and reviews with each other. 2. The hotspot you just bookmarked on your web browser that turns your social influence into sweet rewards.
Basically, Influenster is a place for culture junkies to come together and share their unique opinions of products and experiences. Active members of Influenster get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that thrive off the input (the good, the bad, and the ugly -- they just want to know what's up).

Once you join the newly relaunched site, you take surveys to see what your interests are and from there they find products that fit your profile to send you. So, for example if you like beauty products then earn that badge or are you a mom, do the mom badge surveys. Easy!
You can earn different lifestyle and expert badges depending on your interests. It sounds complicated but it really is a lot of fun to do different tasks and surveys.
After you receive a product, just review it and take a short survey on how and what you like or didn't like about the products and that's it!

Now that I have shared all this info with you, I want to you to be able to get the same great products as I get to try (and best of all, for free!) so go here...http://www.influenster.com/  and sign up because what do have to lose? Nothing!
When you get in come back here and leave a comment and tell me what you think about the newly relaunched Influenster site!

Tropical Escape With The New Glade Expressions Collection

First with the business part...I was given the opportunity to try the New Glade Expressions Collection for free with BzzAgent but my opinions and experiences are completely my own.

I was a little skeptical of the Glade Expressions Collection because in my experience, store bought home fragrances just don't get the job done! There is a reason they don't cost that much because you get what you pay for, right? (The suggested retail price for the Diffuser starter kit is $5.99 and the refills retail around $3.49 at most major retailers such as Target and Walmart.)Well, I have learned that you don't have to pay a lot for really great home fragrance!

You can choose from Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice, Lavender & Juniper Berry or  Pineapple & Mangosteen, which I tried.  Boy did it smell wonderful right out of the box! I really thought someone had cut up some fresh pineapple, that is how real it smelled! The fragrance is not overwhelming but I would say just right! Glade says it will last for up to 30 days but I can tell you that the fragrance has lasted for a while now and the best part is that you don't even need to plug it in or buy messy oils. You can just place it anywhere around your home for fresh true to life scents.
The diffuser holder comes in a really nice trendy bamboo design making it a convenient and stylish enough to fit any home decor.

If you are looking not spend lots of dollars but want a nice home fragrance kit for your home I would suggest trying the Glade Expressions Diffuser!

UNREAL Candy...Can "Healthier" candy be good?

UNREAL Candy...Can "Healthier" candy be good?

Can "Healthier" candy be good ? That was the question running through my mind when I received the UNREAL Candy campaign from BzzAgent. I got to try the UNREAL candy coated peanuts free from BzzAgent with a coupon they had provided me but my opinions are my own.

My daughter and I went to our local store where we immediately found the UNREAL Candy display right up front. It was  a brightly colored display piled high with all the different kinds of candy from their line. It was hard to choose what we going to buy because it all looked so good! We picked up some UNREAL candy coated peanuts and a nougat bar.

Now for the test try! Does a candy that claims to be "unjunked" and not full of artificial ingredients, corn syrup, preservatives, and hydrogenated oils  be that tasty? I wasn't thinking so. I mean come on, all those ingredients are what make everything so delish right? (YUCK by the way) I opened my bag and could see a difference right away. They just looked good! I was so surprised at how good they really were. I wasn't convinced that my taste buds were telling me the truth because I was quite hungry at this point in time so I went home to give my mom the other bag so she could be my second opinion.
I put hers in a baggie so she couldn't tell what brand they were. Well mom really did like them. She said they had a great crunch for the peanuts, they weren't overly sweet and that she enjoyed them very much. I knew we had a winner because when I told her they were a new candy called UNREAL Candy and were a "healthier" choice than her normal brand, she said she liked them better! WOW!

So there you have it. When you are out and about or just craving something chocolaty, go give the UNREAL Candy a try. (Remember, they aren't claiming to be a health food, just a healthier product)
You can UNREAL Candy at most retailers near you or check out their website http://getunreal.com/

Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips Review

I was so excited to be able to try Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips through Influenster. I got them free to try as part of the Latina VoxBox but my opinions are my own.

The box comes with 18/40 full size wax strips and finishing wipes. They can be purchased at Walgreens, Target, CVS, Rite Aid and Walmart and have a suggested retail price $9.99.

Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips are specially formulated to remove hair on legs, underarms, and bikini area from closer to the root than shaving for smoothness that lasts up to 4 weeks.

Ok, my daughter and I are always on the lookout for hair removal products that work for us. We usually end up disappointed and a few dollars lighter. We were left with that same feeling with Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips. While it wasn't a total bust, it just didn't do the job to get out real thick hair like we have. The ease of use was great and was not messy. Just 1, 2, 3 and you're done. The finishing wipes we also very nice to get off the residue and make our legs look nice and shinny smooth!

After my daughter and I tried the Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips, I enlisted my sons girlfriend to give it a go. She has thinner, softer hair that I thought would fit a product like this. After one strip I knew we had a winner. It worked like magic on getting all the hair with no problem at all. I was a little envious it worked so well on her! HaHa!

My final take? I really liked Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips but they just weren't for the thick hair type that I have BUT I would recommend Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips for anyone with softer finer hair.

You can visit Veet here at  http://www.veet.us/ to get more information on VEET Ready To Use Wax Strips or any other Veet products.

COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and COVERGIRL & Olay Pressed
                                                                  Powder Review

I was lucky enough to get to try COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and Pressed Powder for free from BzzAgent.

Now, I normally purchase all my foundation and powders at Sephora and would have never given this product a try had it not been brought to my attention. I can tell you that I am now a COVERGIRL convert!

The foundation I tried was Soft Honey and the powder was in medium. The foundation comes in a pump bottle so it made for easy dispensing.
(COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation is clinically shown to help reduce the appearance of discolorations over time by hydration the skin.)
I tried to only pump out as little as I possibly could, as a little goes a long way. Right off the bat you can tell how nice it goes on and gives very good coverage. I like the smooth, radiant finish I got with the pressed powder which has a built-in smooth-glide serum and was never cakey.

Overall, I really like the COVERGIRL & Olay foundation and pressed powder and will continue to use it as part of my everyday makeup routine.

COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and COVERGIRL & Olay Pressed Powder are available at all major retailers with a suggested retail price of $13.99

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 Review

Wow, this summer has been a scorcher and how lucky was I to get to try Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 from Influenster as part of their Latina VoxBox program for free!

Now, we use Hawaiian Tropic products as well as other brands of sunscreen as well but I think this has  most of them beat. It has these ribbons of hydrating, nourishing lotion sunscreen that pamper your skin while protecting your skin with broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, and 12 hour moisturization when out in the sun! Best of both worlds!
The smell is nice and never leaves your skin sticky or white. The suggested retail price is $8.99 for a 6oz. bottle so it wont ding your pocket book.

My daughter has taken over my bottle but don't worry you and I can Hawaiian Tropic products at most major retailers in our area.
